News flash!

Breaking news everybody! I've just learned Bony the Maroni (our newest kitten) is really a boy!!!!! So we have dropped Bella Bony to just Bony now. Yesterday at our vets visit for second shots, we found out. Apparently since Bony was so malnourished, his little privates retracted up in, but now that he has gained a pound and a half, the little balls have dropped! He weighs 3 pounds now. He's gained a pound and a half since we found him. I laughed so hard at the vets office. I just had to call John and tell him. I thought that maybe she(he) had a infection near the backside and that was why it was swollen! Duh! What a weenie I am! hahaha So now we have a boy kitty.

I received a Quaker RR and a Halloween RR this weekend. So I've got to get busy. I've got Hannah's Halloween RR, love it! And no I don't mind using 3371!

I also found out who my Halloween exchange partner is for the Ornie exchange. Joan! I've sent her an email saying hi! I think I know what to stitch for her!

So, I'll be busy, busy, busy!

I have my niece's birthday party today, so I'll sign off for now!

Finished Biscornu/Now to assemble!

Wish me luck with the assembly. I probably won't assemble it just yet, I've put it up for safe keeping. It is for a exchange that is upcoming. I'm now working on a MAW exchange. I'm excited to say that I get to make Edgar's wish. So my fingers will be stitching like a mad demon to finish by the weekend.

We will have a busy weekend. It's a 3-day holiday for school, Labor Day and all. We have a football game Friday, cookout on Saturday, a birthday party on Sunday and then Monday off to relax!

Whew, I'm already tired just thinking about it. And it's just Monday!

I'm gonna go stitch! But, not on anything fun. I've got 5 more uniforms left to do. They never seem to be finished.

Oh well!

Some fun and stitching to show!

I've been working on a biscornu and it's coming along, I've also worked on Lesyle's rr. I've heard that the next Quaker should be arriving any day now. We had a team player disappear and 3 people have had to re stitch! That's a shame. It does make for hard feelings and it makes people afraid to participate in a wonderful exchange program.

I've heard from Lizzy that my rr is finished and she will be getting it out in the mail to me soon. So as soon as I have pictures, I'll show the masterpiece!

Jacob is the kid in the back holding his hands in victory! This is the mellophone group from the band. They are the Mighty Marching Mellophones! He worked so hard on a poster for the band room for this, the band director loved Jacob's creativity and had Jacob's poster laminated!

Well, off to stitch and de-stress!

Have a great weekend!

Join in on the fun!

I read this over at Kendra's blog so I thought I'd play along! I'm a big band geek and that's how I came to know Kendra! She was in a marching band too!

So who reads my blog??

1. As a comment on this post, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! And if we've never met in real life, leave me a comment of your favorite post I wrote and why it was your favorite.

.2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually really funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

I've got to figure out how to play music on my blog! Everyone has it and I don't!

I am working on 2 project right now! My first biscornu! It is a Barbara Ana Design and it is super cute! Plus I'm working on Lesyle's rr. I'm gonna send out my Halloween rr on Wednesday.

I am thrilled to be a moderator for Becky. I'm gonna do the Easter exchange in 2009 and I'm excited to help out!
Well, off to stitch for a bit!

I've heard the Simone got my exchange!

So without further ado.... I stitched her a Hornbook. Johnny cut it out for me, I sanded and stained the wood, then cross stitched a freebie design. I think it turned out great! I also sent her lots of goodies. Plus Mercy emailed me that her Quaker Critter reached her! So I'm one happy camper about that!

I can't wait to see Misty and Kerri play again! I have been watching every game and I love the beach volleyball matches! Go Girls! Michael Phelps sure did make the first week of the Olympic Games exciting! What a great performance he put on for us!

We start our second week of school tomorrow! So I'm off to bed, morning comes way too early!

Look what I got!

What a great day for me! Had to go to the post office to sign for a package! It was my Redwork exchange package! I am thrilled beyond words! Cindy is an excellent seamstress! Awesome job!

Thanks for all the little extras! Love the stamps! The ribbon is perfect for a project I'm working on! Tons of beads! Yippee for me!

I had a second great day at school! So far, my new manager has thanked me for being a great cashier! It makes me happy that I'm doing well in her eyes. Now hopefully, later on, she will add me more time so I can be a 5 hour worker. I don't want more than that, I just don't want the crunch of not having the money I was used too. I've decided to cancel my Just Nan autoships. I will miss getting them, but to tell the truth, I haven't yet stitched not a single one yet! hahaha.

Well, I want to be ready for stitching and Michael Phelps! He is such a cutie! I hope he wins another medal! Go USA!!!!

Have a great night friends!

Survived the first day of school!

What a day! It turned out better than I had hoped! It makes me feel better and I won't be terrified to go back tomorrow! All the little bunnys who came to lunch today, hurry, hurry , hurry! Poor teachers, they looked so harried!

I hope my baby sis survived her first day too! I know she will excel!

I just ate the best tasting fresh pear ever! My husband John picks out the best fruit. I stink in that department.

I am thrilled! Today I got back a package I had sent to Mercy! It came back undeliverable, so I will try again! I'm so happy that it didn't disappear! I worked so hard on that Quaker Critter exchange!

Finished Vonna's Halloween RR!

Got Vonna's done! Now I'll start on Lesyle's rr.

I've spent this weekend resting up and getting better. Here's hoping my first day of school will be ok. Wish me luck.

Post will be short tonight. Swimming is on and I must watch and cheer on the USA!

See ya later.

Back to school!

I'm one whupped puppy! I always forget about the toll working takes on a body. I am at my new school. Haven't quite decided if I'm gonna like it. It's so hard being the new girl. It sucks. I came from a school being in charge of milk production ordering and head nutrition leader to this-nothing. Plus I've lost hours, we've figured it out, I'll make $1800.00 less a year. That's alot to me. So don't really know if I'll still need to look elsewhere or not. I'm only a 4 hour worker now. Working for the school seems to lack the usual luster.
I just got my Oct. issue of JCS! What a great issue! I am loving all the Halloween ornies! It will be perfect for Terry's new exchange I joined! You ought to check it out! Not much stitching for me today. I'm gonna try to stay awake tonight to stitch. It's terrible, I went to bed at 8:30 pm last night. So cross your fingers that I can stay up alittle later tonight. Easy dinner night, just ordered pizza. Made the boys happy.
No new pictures today. Haven't heard if my exchange partner has received her exchange.
Well, I'm yawning and it's only 6:17pm, must stay awake!!!!!
I hope everyone is having a great day! You are loved by me!

Heavy pictures! Plus alittle stitching!

I am almost finished with Vonna's Halloween RR! Just have a tiny bit more to finish. These Halloween designs just make me smile!

My pets are such a part of our lives that I take pictures of them daily! Boo Boo Kitty is accepting Bella the Bony Maroni, Daisy has taken over a surrogate role! She is now Bony's momma! So sweet! I'm looking forward to Terry having a Seasonal ornie exchange! I love that idea! I'm gonna start looking for a little tree asap!

My hands are hurting today, I'll be glad to hurry and finish those uniforms. That is tough material to sew on. Most of it is done by hand since we can't cut, we reuse these uniforms every year.

I mailed Cheryl's rr to Edgar, I also mailed my Redwork exchange off to my exchange partner! I am so proud of it! I can't wait to show pictures! I've restitched a Quaker critter since Mercy's exchange did not make it. I am devastated about that. I worked so hard on that tote bag. Since I didn't have time to stitch something as big as the first one, I'll send along extra goodies. I hope somewhere my bag is happy.

Well, off to make homemade pizza, my crew loves homemade more than delivery. I do too, it just takes alittle more time!

Have a great beginning of the new week!

Band camp finally over!

Well, I'm totally wiped out. Gosh I hope next year camp is not the same week as my in service. It was crazy. Going to work, rushing to the school to help with camp, as of yesterday's count I altered 28 uniforms. Whew! I've got maybe 11 or 12 more to do this weekend. I've got to have them ready by Wednesday. The kids will have pictures made on Thursday.
We had a talent show on Thursday and my Jacob won the talent show contest. He is such a clown, the kids loved him and gave him a standing ovation. He played his ocarina flute from the Legend of Zelda! Teens apparently still like Zelda!
I know John is glad for me to be home again. He braved a whole week of not having dinner fixed and ready for him when he gets home from work. Thank you John! He knows how important band is in our house!
I've no stitching to show you, but hope to have something soon!
I may go take a nap, it's noon and I'm still exhausted. Oh, for my friends and family concerned about my Remicade treatment. Well, my treatment was postponed. Our insurance has informed us that Remicade is too expensive to cover. I have to pay $2500 per treatment if I want the treatment. an I was scheduled to have 4 treatments within a 2 month period. Well, folks, that's $10,000.00 that I have to pay out of my pocket. No reimbursement either. We cannot afford this treatment. I'm devastated. I was hoping to finally have something that would help me, and now my insurance company has put a limitation on that drug. It stinks! so Dr. Jonnala is gonna try to find me a sponsor, I don't have much faith that I'll get the sponsorship since we have insurance. Oh well. What can I do?
Sorry to be such a downer there. But, other than that, we are ok.
